We'll be posting quick links for you that can help find exactly what you're looking for here.
I’ve put a lot of time into this site, creating pages and pages of content (enough to write a book actually), doing reviews of people’s marketing guides, and I’m even planning on doing some interviews with people who have successfully marketed (or still are marketing) on Facebook.
A lot of people have asked me why would I put together such an extensive website, and sell nothing on it. To sum it up, two things actually happened...
The first thing that happened was I got a little angry at a number of things. One would be the lack of pertinent information available regarding marketing on Facebook, or rather the excessive amount of incorrect and misleading information on marketing on Facebook. I also got angry working as a consultant.
Most people view a consultant as being self-employed and thought I had it made. I on the other hand am an incredibly independent and competitive person. I found myself giving lots of great advice and working on awesome projects, just to watch them fall apart when someone would decide to grab the reigns. My title was “independent internet marketing consultant”, but I was really a contract employee working for multiple people at the same time. It just wasn’t working.
Second, I had wanted to put together a product on how to market on Facebook for some time. I had a great deal of success with my Myspace Marketing program, but decided to pursue a different direction with Facebook. I had changed my goals for 2009 from “Be more successful” to “Help more people succeed”. I thought if I could put all my knowledge on Facebook marketing in one place, I could easily help more people find an effective and efficient (low cost) way of marketing their business.
And due to my frustration and change of how I defined success, Unlocking Facebook was started. I’ve tried to create, within the power of my abilities, a free resource in regards to everything that currently is, Facebook Marketing.
I’ve tried to cover every way that Facebook has available to market, I’ve tried find the most pertinent information available, and I’ve tried to make sure everything is as correct as I can make it. With that being said, should I have made a mistake, should you feel I have stated something incorrectly, or if you feel that you have something to add to the website, please feel free to contact me.
I hope you enjoy the site, and I wish you the best of luck with your Facebook Marketing efforts.
To YOUR SUCCESS,
Mike
